Turning back time

myDNA reports on seven ways to transform yourself, and help yourself look and feel as good as you did in years gone by. Of course bad breath, and specifically preventing bad breath makes a major impact on changing things.

Specifically, bad breath caused by smoking is easily remedied by simply not smoking anymore, but often easier said than done.

“We all know smoking increases your risk of heart disease, stroke and cancer – but it can also make you look and feel older,” said Lyle L. Berkowitz, M.D., co-chair of the Asthma and Allergy Channel for Revolution Health Group’s Medical Advisory Board (MAB).

“Not surprisingly, young patients often respond better to these cosmetic and fitness issues than to the other life and death issues,” he added. “So, some of the things I’ll talk about with smokers include the yellowing of teeth, the bad breath and the overall decreased ability to exercise as well as you could if you weren’t smoking. Skin elasticity is also affected, making wrinkles more likely.”
