S&M NuTec LLC, who make the popular Greenies breath-freshening dog treats have agreed to sell to Mars Inc the major candy bar manufacturer. Greenies are currently the subject of lawsuits alleging that they have killed some pets.
The deal has been signed, but the necessary processes still need to be followed.
Mars Inc is well know for its candy bars, but it also sells pet foods like Pedigree and Whiskas.
